Welcome to my blog and writing archive.
Currently I’m working on a first novel. It’s called ‘Take Care of Yourself’, about a young man broke, recently graduated, unemployed, and thus unraveled. Bigger than that, though, it’s a book about love and the intersection of struggles among friends and family.
It’s gonna be great, assuming I ever finish it.
I am a former contributor for Wonkette, Air America, PostBourgie, The American Prospect, Students for Barack Obama, and The Georgetown Hoya. I have also written for the U.S. Department of Education. I graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Government in spring 2009 and have been leading a most haphazard life ever since.
I’ll post anything, really, but I most enjoy commenting on education, race, music, politics–and of course writing.
Feel free to dig through my crates. My résumé is linked above. Kick feedback to justin.charity[at]gmail.com. I’ll share some fiction here, too; I’ll post excerpts of my current project as my self-esteem allows.
Love,
Charity
